Without oil there would be a mass die off of humans. currently there are no electric trains which would be absolutely necessary to supply food to people. Most of the people on earth live off the sea. There are no electric fishing boats. This is assuming a sudden decline? in oil production. The other possibility is the slow decline of numbers with a slow decrease of availability.
